In regards to the impacts of COVID-19, the Governor's supplementary proclamation only allows out of state physicians and nurses - not dentists - with a current/active license in another jurisdiction, or those previously licensed in Hawaii, to practice in Hawaii without a Hawaii license during this special circumstance.
The Board of Dentistry (Board) does not have any statues or rules in regards to teledentistry. The Board has a policy that whenever a dentist is practicing dentistry in Hawaii - including providing consultation from out of state – that dentist providing consultation will need to have a Hawaii dentist license.
